Abstract

One very active member of the IUGS family is its International Commission on the History of Geological Sciences. It is fitting that a profile of INHIGEO should be included in Episodes 10 years after its first appearance in March 1978, for the opening article in that first issue was also on a historical theme by Gordon Craig.
