Abstract

As the third in a series of profiles of geoscience organizations affiliated to IUGS, this article reviews one of the most important societies in the field of economic geology. With its 2,500 members, SEG has long been regarded as a predominantly North American organization. However, as the author explains here, SEG is now working to expand its membership and activities to other parts of the world. (Ed.)
