Growing tephra cone in the Lake Vui, Ambae Island, Vanuatu as a result of a Surtseyan style eruption in December 2005. The eruption started in 28th November 2005. By the time the photo was taken on the 8th December 2005, an almost complete tephra cone emerged about 50 m above the lake surface. (Photo by K. N¨¦meth)
